New member joins the branch

Kathryn Anderson, Diocesan MU President and Heather Bruce, Branch Contact together with Pat Weaver at her inauguration to the Mothers’ Union.

Pat received a warm welcome from the current Members and told us she had recently been following the activities of the members and had been considering joining our branch and the deciding factor was when she listened to Christine Emson’s talk about the work of the Mothers’ Union at our recent Outreach meeting.

Pat said ‘For some years I have watched and admired the work of the Mothers’ Union here at St Richards. They are a talented and dedicated group who live their faith in a very positive way and I especially like their practical approach. They “see” and work on ways of helping the church family. These may be small projects, but they make a real difference. They are quietly active in making improvements to the appearance and comfort of the church, its ministry in the parish, and in living their faith in outreach to the wider community. I hope that I will be able to support and help them now that I have become a member.’
