New Rainbow Play Mats

Children singing and enjoying the ‘activities’ with their parents during the Families@4 Service at St Richard’s Church on the new rainbow mats bought by the Mothers’ Union. The two brightly coloured mats are a perfect size covering the area at the front of the church for the children to sit and play on during the service.

Families@4 services, held on the second Sunday of every month, start at 4pm with a couple of tuneful hymns; an interactive sermon followed by activities based around the sermon theme and lastly prayers with more singing. It is lovely to see the children joining in enthusiastically and then finally ‘tucking into’ the food which is provided by the Mothers’ Union.

The first Families@4 was in December last year and since then the number of children has been steadily increasing. On the 8th December 2019 it will be our 1st Anniversary and you are more than welcome to bring your children/grandchildren along to join our celebrations or if you prefer you can contact Revd Mitch beforehand to find out more.
