Showstoppers Holiday Club

“What do we do with the children in the summer holidays” – a common question!

In 2014 a group of Christians from several churches in Heathfield started a children’s holiday club.

Showstoppers aims to give the children entertainment and fun in a Christian context.  We sing, do crafts and modelling, listen to stories, play both indoors and outside in the lovely grounds of the school. Because it is within the school and its grounds, we have good security, and the child to staff ratio is extremely good.

Showstoppers is open to Primary age children who have completed a year at school (i.e. will be going into Year 1 or above in September). It takes place at All Saints’ and St. Richard’s Primary School, Old Heathfield, usually in the second week of the summer holidays.

In 2019 it took place during the week beginning Monday 29th July; at the cost of £5 per session per child.

Registration takes place from 9:30am for a 10:00am start, and children should be collected at 2:00pm.

Publicity goes out to schools and churches at the end of May/beginning of June, and parents of children who have attended in the previous year receive notification a few days earlier.

To give you an idea of the types of activities and fun we have below are two YouTube videos made at Showstoppers in 2016 and 2015 by one of the Showstopper helpers Joseph Peters.
